Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who was passionate about music. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas, and every form of dramatic performance. She started singing and studying music with her mother, and commenced more serious vocal training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles as well as choruses. After moving from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. The singer currently sings classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She is involved with many local initiatives and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her love and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
